Don't Submit a Website to GoogleFaster, Easier Ways to Get in the Search Engine Listings
Submitting a website to Google could mean waiting weeks or months for it to appear in the search listings. Luckily, there is a faster, easier way to get a website listed.
It may not seem illogical, but using the website submission tool at Google doesn't accomplish much more than making webmasters wait for their site to appear in the search results. One would think that alerting Google to the creation of a new site would mean quick inclusion in the search listings, but oddly that is not the case. Getting a listing in this powerhouse of a search engine can mean all the difference, so what is a webmaster to do? The answer is simple. Just get a link on another site that has already been indexed. This is the easiest, fastest, most surefire method for getting a website indexed by Google. Submit a Website to Google From an Established SiteIf a webmaster already has a site listed in the search engines, then getting their new site indexed will be easy. All they need to do is place a link from the old site to the new one. When Googlebot visits the already-indexed-site it will follow the link to the new site and proceed to index its content as well. Use a Reciprocal Link to Submit to GoogleSite owners are not quite as willing to engage in link exchanges as they used to be, but this method is still worth a try. Before contacting the site owner it is vital that the webmaster first try to determine if the site uses the nofollow attribute on their links. If so, then asking for a link would be pointless. If nofollow is not used, however, then simply contact the site owner and ask if they would be willing to exchange links. Once a link has been placed on the site, it shouldn't be long before it appears in the search engines. Add a Comment to Get in the Search ListingsCommenting on blogs is an excellent way to not only network with bloggers, but, also, to place a link for Googlebot to discover and index. When using this method it is important, however, that webmasters only leave comments when they legitimately have something to say. If they comment only in order to leave a link, then they will alienate that site owner and sully their reputation in the process. It should be noted that, once again, placing a comment on a site that uses nofollow links won't do any good toward getting a site in to the search engine results. Write an Article to Land a Site in the Search ListingsWriting a unique article and then submitting it to GoArticles.com or EzineArticles.com is another fantastic way to basically submit a website to Google. Both of these sites hold great favor with Google, so Googlebot will visit them frequently. When a webmaster places an article on either of these sites, Googlebot will find the link that appears within the author box and proceed to index their site as well. Participate in a Forum to Get a Site in GoogleWhen posting on a message board, webmasters should add a link to their website in their signature file assuming that it is permitted by the rules of the forum. Once again, webmasters should only post when they can make a contribution to the conversation. Message board readers are very good at spotting posters who are simply there to leave a link. Also, as has been mentioned twice before, this technique will only work if the message board refrains from using nofollow. So Many Options for Submitting a Website to GoogleAs has been shown, there are quite a few options for placing that all-important link that will quickly land a site in the search listings. Once the link is in place, webmasters will find that their website will typically be indexed within a few hours to a few days, but, generally, no longer than that.
